Before You Enter 2026: The First Full Moon of the Year
The Full Moon in Cancer rises, luminous and uncompromising, carrying the first energetic decree of 2026. This year is named for embodiment, rapture, irreducible joy, and thriving across all measures, and the Moon steps into her role as Mother: tender, vast, yet piercingly exact. She does not flinch. She tests the heart, the spine, and the will.
Venus and Mars, the inner divine feminine and masculine, burn combust behind the Sun’s radiance. They are not weakened; they are initiated. Hidden in solar fire, their action and desire are no longer personal instruments but currents of a higher authority. Even in Capricorn (where Mars exalted and Venus is potent) they do not act. They witness. They wait. They learn what it means to move aligned with cosmic purpose rather than self-concern.
From Cancer, with Jupiter swelling in the lunar vessel, the Mother asks:
Who are you when all performative power falls away? What could you build if you no longer needed to believe in your strength, but simply accepted it and inhabited it? What shadows must be surrendered so that your authority becomes a quiet, undeniable presence?
The Sun trines the South Node in Virgo and sextiles the North Node in Pisces, illuminating the path behind you. Past patterns, past failures, and the residue of overcorrection are laid bare; not for judgment, but for ritual release. Your capacity is no longer measured by how much you can bear, but by what you can hold without grasping.
The Moon trining the North Node in Pisces asks a question that dissolves the ordinary: Can your legacy serve what cannot yet be seen? Can your life hold something vaster than power, larger than wealth, beyond recognition? Can you release the empty volume within so that your being becomes a vessel for the unseen currents of life itself?
Venus and Mars, combust at the solar threshold, pause at the edge of their own desire and drive, feeling a force greater than anything they could achieve together. Here is the alchemy of initiation: not suppression, not denial, but transmutation. Desire bows to truth. Action bends to meaning.
Pluto in Aquarius and Jupiter in Cancer turn the lens outward: the collective waits. Power is no longer justified by scale or speed alone. Expansion is only sacred if it nourishes life, strengthens the human vessel, and sustains the future.
This Full Moon asks: Where do you still inflate your own importance? Where do you still anchor yourself in the illusion of control? And what will you consecrate instead - your heart, your hands, your vision - to the greater unfolding?
This is how 2026 begins: a year not of dominance or ambition, but of solarised alignment, maternal interrogation, and the quiet, luminous embodiment of cosmic authority. Under this Moon, we learn to move without grasping, to love without bargaining, and to act without needing recognition.
Other News:
Tonight is our 10th Holy Night in the Twelve Holy Nights container and no surprise it aligns with the energy of this full moon in Cancer. No doubt we will be alchemising and integrating what needs to dissolve to make room for more alignment for us to step fully into our power this year. And there is no doubt that everyone in this container is about to embark on one of their most powerful and empowering years to date. And I’m fully here for it.
The Twelve Holy Nights - which have extended to 13! - will return at the end of this year where I will be taking 24 souls ready for the kind of alignment that 2027 will demand. But instead of doing it online, I will be taking them on a journey on the Nile, temple hopping, ceremony offering, ritual aligning, and simply dissolving into the potent energies of the zodiac under the guidance of the Kemetic Neteru; the original blueprint of the zodiac. We will be spending Christmas and New Year’s together calling in a whole new vision of life and the world.
More information will be available soon (it’s already been booked!). Just couldn’t wait to share it with you.
In love and service
Venus xo
