When Venus met Saturn in Aries
This time, my reading of the skies came in the form of a dialogue I overheard. And like a child, I will retell the conversation as I heard it:
Venus: I feel the fire rising within me. The urge to claim my presence. To insist on life, on desire, on my worth. To claim that I am holy deserving of piety just like my masculine brethren. Yet the world burns with disregard for what is feminine, and I feel the rage of all that is life searing in my veins.
Saturn: Fire is yours, but it is not meant to burn uncontrolled. Courage is not the same as impulse. The world may have been dominated by force, but you are called to a different kind of battle. One that asserts presence without annihilation. One that builds life where others would destroy it.
Venus: Time feels cruel. While I wait, beauty disappears.
Saturn: Beauty always disappears. That’s why it matters. You are the rose. But roses do not bloom without thorns.
Neptune: And yet, what you call disappearance is only transformation. Nothing truly vanishes. It dissolves. Every love, every sorrow, every dream returns to the ocean of the soul.
Venus: Ocean? I feel fire, not water.
Neptune: Fire dreams too. Even desire begins as a vision. Before love becomes flesh, it exists as longing. Let your fire become a light others cannot ignore, a warmth that changes the world quietly but profoundly. Sit with its divinity longer still. Let it inform every act without forcing it.
Saturn: Longing without form becomes illusion.
Neptune: And form without vision becomes stone.
Venus: Then you are both asking something of me. Sit with fire… without lashing it out… How do I embody that?
Saturn: By valuing what endures. By choosing battles that honour life rather than consume it. By asserting boundaries where needed, but never losing the thread of your soul. You fight not with brute force but with truth, with rooted desire, with disciplined fire.
Pluto: Transformation accompanies this. The values you hold will be tested. Illusions, inherited rules, false measures of worth… all will be stripped away. Only that which is real, authentic, and necessary will survive. Your love, your courage, your fire; they must be forged through this crucible.
Neptune: And yet, remember that vision sustains the fire. Do not harden it into mere resistance. Do not lose its soul. Let longing and compassion guide the way your courage flows. Let it be creative. Let it be luminous.
Venus: So, I am to carry my fire like a temple flame. Sacred, alive, enduring. Not consumed by rage, not squandered in reaction.
Saturn Exactly. Love, desire, courage… all of them are tested by reality. But you are learning the value of what endures. This is not a single act. It is a way of being.
Pluto: You speak of love as though it were gentle. It is not. Love is power. The power that tears down civilisations and builds new ones. Humanity is entering a new age of power. But their values must change if they are to survive it.
North Node (the Dragon’s Head): And in all of this, the movement toward compassion flows. You are not only fighting for yourself; you are creating a model of courage that others can inherit. This is the evolution of values, the maturation of love, the refinement of desire.
Venus: What must change?
Pluto: What they believe love is. Possession will collpase. Control will collapse. False beauty will collapse. Only what is authentic will survive transformation.
The Dragon’s Head: All of you speak of change. But the path forward moves through water. Through empathy. Through surrender. Through the dissolving of separation. Humanity must remember that it belongs to the same ocean.
Venus: Then I will tend my fire, hold it, and let it teach me patience, wisdom, and courage. Not to destroy, but to illuminate. Not to consume, but to endure. Not to obey impulse, but to honour life itself.
Saturn: And I will teach you that time is not your enemy.
Neptune: I will show you vision.
Pluto: I will demand authenticity.
Dragon’s Head: And I’ll remind you of where your highest expression lies.
Venus: Then I am ready to love, to assert, to fight… differently.
