Learn Kemetic Astrology with Venus
23 December 2026 - 6 January 2027
Read the sky the way the ancient Egyptians read it.
Kemetic astrology has waited a long time for the right hands: someone who reads both the hieroglyphs and the heavens, the scholarship and the stars. Venus is Egyptian and British, fluent in Arabic and in the academic record, raised between the temples of Luxor and the old lines of Cornwall — standing, at last, in both worlds at once. The story below is what she found there.
The Heart They Hid
Long before history kept its records, the people of the Nile spoke a language made of stars. Astrology was their tongue, and alchemy was their prayer — the work by which they received what the teachers in the heavens came down to give. This was the heart of everything: the golden thread running through every temple and ceiling and rite whose evidence still stands in the sand today.
Then the priests and priestesses felt the great wheel begin to turn. They knew the sun was setting on their age, and that the long age of Pisces — the age of the veil, of faith without sight — was about to pass over the world. And so, the story goes, they did a careful and deliberate thing. Before they left, they reached into the body of their teaching and lifted out its heart, and carried the core away into safekeeping, to wait out the long night.
What they left behind still worked. It travelled west, into Hellenistic and Neoplatonic hands, and became the astrology we know — the astrology of the personality, the kind read in the back pages of magazines. None of it untrue. But it was a lion without his heart: able to stand, unable to roar.
For a long age, the heart could not be found. It lay scattered between two worlds that did not speak to one another — the Egyptologists who could read the walls but not the stars, and the astrologers and alchemists who could read the stars but could not reach the walls; the texts themselves sealed in the locked archives of universities, of the Vatican, of private houses no seeker ever enters. The body of the teaching was in one place, the language to read it in another, and so it stayed: dismembered, waiting for someone able to stand in both worlds at once.
That one came. Her name is Venus, and for years she has been excavating what was buried — carrying the language of the stars back to the walls that hold it, and the walls back to the stars — until the heart could be lifted out of the dark and made to beat again.
And There Is Only One Place to Do It
Not in a classroom. Not through a screen. The heart can only be returned where it was hidden — on the river, between the temples, beneath the stars that taught the first watchers their names.
So the boat carries you south, and each temple is a living chamber of the sky. You begin in the precinct of the great mother, in the first fire that says I am. You enter the chapel of the goddess of beauty and turquoise, and the body remembers it is sacred ground; the house of the one who shapes life on his wheel, where the inner sun learns to shine; the throne of the falcon, where the scales of the heart hang waiting; the temple of light and shadow, where the keeper of the deep holds the threshold of all that must die to be reborn. At the island of the great magician you are washed at the source. Beneath the most complete star-ceiling the ancient world left behind, you read the whole sky at once. And in the house of the one who was scattered and made whole, you gather your own scattered pieces and carry them home.
Behind each open teaching there is a private door — small, sacred circles where we deepen the tether to the living ones and call the memory body awake. And we are not alone in it: two Hathorian women travel with the boat, as the Hathors once moved with the temples — one whose medicine is the voice, who chants in the tongue of the ancients and lays crystal sound beneath you; one whose medicine is the turning body. They weave sound and motion exactly as their foremothers did beneath these ceilings — not to soothe, but to attune, to tune the human instrument until it can receive what the sky has never stopped transmitting.
This is why there is only one place. The knowledge was never only words. It was a frequency, kept in stone and star and song — and it still answers to those who come to where it was left.
But a heart is not restored by a single pair of hands. This sacred science does not need only teachers; it needs vessels — authentic ones, called — in whom the knowledge can remember itself, where it has lain dormant and distorted in the memory of the body. To carry it is to be changed by it. And to be changed by it is to become a reason that others change.
For the wheel has turned once more. Pisces is ending, Aquarius is dawning, and the keepers of the old knowledge have come back — in this lifetime, in this hour — to remember Osiris the way he longs to be remembered: not scattered, but whole. And when he is truly re-membered, his body gathered and made one, we become carriers of the seed he kept safe through the age — the Aquarian consciousness the ancients went away to protect.
This is what waits on the river. Twelve holy nights, sailing temple to temple beneath the stars, learning to know the heavens not as forces that move but as living ones with names — and learning, as the priests once did, how to speak with them.
The heart is ready to be returned. The only question the river asks is whether you have come to help carry it.
You have a part in this. Perhaps you have always known it.
Who This Journey Is For
Some people will read this far and feel nothing. This was never written for them. It was written for you — if any of this is already true:
You have practised astrology, or lived close to it, long enough to sense that something is missing beneath it. A depth. A root system. A heart the textbooks never mention but you have always felt should be there.
You have dreamed of learning this properly for years, and quietly known that no course, no teacher, no curriculum has yet been the one — because the one you were waiting for had not arrived.
You are fluent in Western astrology and have reached the edge of it: ready, at last, to learn it from the source it was taken from, not the copy it became.
You are drawn to Egypt the way one is drawn to a birthplace, not a holiday — pulled, not booked. You have felt it for longer than makes sense.
And you already understand the thing most people never reconcile: that rigorous scholarship and living ancestral transmission are not opposites. They are the same river. You have simply been waiting for someone to say it out loud — and for the boat that sails it.
You most likely have prominent Aquarian, Scorpionic and Virgoan themes in your chart. This journey was made for you.
If you read that last line and something in you said yes before your mind could argue — then you already know. This was written for you. The only question left is whether you will answer it.
“I have studied with two other astrologers before Venus and no one had that level of depth in understanding and relaying the information ”
How Will We Activate the Heart
There is only one way to wake the forgotten heart of this science: to return like a seed to the soil it came from, and let that soil do its work.
To be planted in Egypt. To be watered by her Nile. To gather your memories back from the temples and carry their codes in your body. To learn the old language not from a page but by heart, until it lays down new pathways in you — until the knowing is no longer something you study, but something you have become.
A seed cannot sprout in the wrong ground. This is the right ground. It always was.
“Venus has such a generous spirit and her way of delivering the teachings is exciting and calming simultaneously. She covers so many interesting topics and I always feel like there’s more to learn. I feel comfortable asking questions, and she gives in depth support and insights into your own charts. I’d say what are you waiting for?!”

The Odyssey
The original pilgrimage to Abydos began each year on the 24th of December; a sacred departure that would later become the first of the Twelve Holy Nights, still honoured across the Western world today.
And so we too make a pilgrimage to the stars to which Osiris traveled and ascended. Not toward an unknowable underworld, as the word Duat is so often mistranslated, but toward the celestial realm from which we all originally descended. The Duat is a homecoming, not a descent into darkness.
This is where we are going. We will sail through the net of Nut - she who stretches herself across the sky to receive us - and be carried beyond our wildest imaginings, back to our celestial origins.
Below is a brief summary of the logistics (please note: this is our first working structure. The exact order and timing of visits and ceremonies may vary depending on sailing conditions, weather, site access and other circumstances beyond our control):
-
Wednesday 23rd December ‘26:
Board our dahabiyya, the golden vessel, and gather for our opening ceremony beneath the Full Moon in Cancer. We enter the cosmic womb of creation — the great mother-sky who swallows the light each night and gives birth to it each dawn — and attune ourselves to the cycle we are about to live. On a full moon, the celestial eye is whole; we begin in wholeness and its corresponding Neteru.
Evening: Sound bath, with a blue lotus ceremony woven into the full moon opening.
-
Thursday 24 December:
ARIES: Morning breathwork and kundalini awakening in the precinct of the mother goddess, calling on the fierce solar feminine to burn through whatever blocks our sense of safety and nourishment. At sunset we enter Luxor Temple, where the body itself is understood as a temple between heaven and earth. Aries is the principle of will and initiation — the first "I AM," the red fire of beginning, the courage of the divine self asserting into form. Embodiment: the clean yes, the spark of vitality igniting in the body.
Evening: Blue lotus tea ceremony.
-
Friday 25th December '26:
TAURUS: We cross to the West Bank to the temple of the woman who became king, and to her Chapel of Hathor — the sanctuary of beauty, music and love. Taurus is the principle of the sacred body and the senses: pleasure, worth, abundance, and the slow art of being fully present in form. We meet the two faces of the love-principle — the tender creator and the fierce protector.
Embodiment: receiving, softening into sensation, honouring the body as holy ground. Evening: Whirling practice.
-
Saturday 26th December '26:
GEMINI: We set sail. Gemini is the principle of breath and air, of the twin and the messenger — the mind that divides the world into pairs and then bridges them again. It teaches the holding of two truths at once without splitting, and the power of the word to weave and connect. Embodiment: the breath as the carrier of life-force; curiosity; the meeting place between opposites within us.
Evening: Sound bath.
-
Sunday 27th December '26:
CANCER: A day on the open water. Cancer is the lunar principle — the womb, nurture, feeling, memory and lineage; the tides that rise and fall; the one who measures time by waxing and waning; the star whose rising once summoned the flood. It teaches that emotion is intelligence and that we are carried by ancestral waters. Embodiment: the soft belly and the heart's waters; the felt sense of being held.
Evening: Blue lotus tea ceremony.
-
Monday 28th December '26:
LEO: Leo is the solar principle — the radiant heart and the threefold light: the becoming of dawn, the blaze of noon, the return of dusk. Beneath this temple's astronomical ceiling we explore its deeper mystery: the sun that must descend each night into the dark to be renewed — the light that dies in order to be reborn.
Embodiment: the heart as the inner sun, radiant without needing to be seen.
Evening: Whirling practice.
-
Tuesday 29th December '26:
Virgo is the principle of mind and discernment — purification, the sacred ordinary, devoted service, and the earth-mother of the harvest who yields the grain. It is also the principle of the healer who gathers what has been scattered and restores it to wholeness. Today we metabolise everything the journey has given so far, refining experience into wisdom.
Embodiment: the body as the instrument that digests, sorts and integrates.
Evening: Sound bath.
-
Wednesday 30th December '26:
LIBRA is the principle of balance, harmony and truth — right measure, beauty as equilibrium, and the just relationship between self and other. Here we contemplate the weighing of the heart against the feather of truth: the question of whether the heart is light. Embodiment: poise and fairness in the body; honesty as a felt equilibrium. Evening: Blue lotus tea ceremony.
-
Thursday 31st December '26:
At this dual temple of light and shadow, we meet Scorpio — the principle of depth, death and rebirth; the sting that heals; the hidden, regenerative power; the descent into the underworld and the return transformed. It is the alchemy of facing what we most fear and finding our medicine there.
Embodiment: surrender into the depths; the body's capacity to die and be remade.
Evening: Whirling practice, leading into our New Year's Eve threshold ceremony on the river.
-
Friday 1st January '27:
Sagittarius is the principle of expansion and vision — faith, the higher mind, the seeker's fire, the arrow aimed at meaning, the hidden made known. Arriving at the source on New Year's Day, we mark a rare meeting of the sun and the celestial messenger: wisdom received directly, the teaching downloaded at the heart of the journey.
Embodiment: aim and aspiration; the fire that reaches toward what is greater.
Evening: Sound bath.
-
Saturday 2nd January '27:
We visit the island temple of the great mother-magician and journey to the original sanctuary for a private baptism at the source. Capricorn is the principle of mastery and structure — time, the elder, the mountain, discipline, and the seed planted in dark earth that will become the foundation.
Embodiment: the bones, rootedness, the patient seed; sovereignty earned through endurance. A meal in Nubia.
Evening: Blue lotus tea ceremony.
-
Sunday 3rd January '27:
AQUARIUS The return begins. Aquarius is the principle of the waters poured out — the flood that renews the land, the gift carried back to the collective, the visionary who remakes the future. What we received at the source, we now offer to the whole.
Embodiment: pouring back; the individual in service to something larger.
Evening: Whirling practice.
-
Monday 4th January '27:
We read the great zodiac ceiling of Dendera whole — the map of the journey, now lived from the inside — and gather ourselves at the temple of reassembly, bringing home our scattered parts. Pisces is the principle of dissolution and unity — the ocean, the formless, surrender, compassion; the primeval waters from which all arises and to which all returns.
Embodiment: letting the boundaries soften, the body as the place where the separate self dissolves before it is remade.
Evening: Sound bath.
-
Tuesday 5th January '27:
We fly to Cairo for a gentle day of rest and integration, letting the journey settle before the final dawn.
Evening: Blue lotus tea ceremony.
-
Wednesday 6th January '27:
A dawn pyramid activation and closing ceremony at the Sphinx — the threshold where night becomes day and the light emerges newborn from the dark. We complete the cycle we have lived and return home renewed with the cosmic codes firmly integrated and activated into our temples.
What You Will Carry Home
You will leave the river able to read the sky the way it was first read — not as a forecast, but as a living language. Among what you will carry:
The decans — the original star-clock of Egypt, and the oldest astrology on earth — and how they mark the turning of the year in the body.
The seven classical planets met not as forces but as living principles, each with a face, a season and the same name the ancient Egyptians called them.
The lunar cycle as the Egyptians kept it — the phases as powers, the moon as the eye made whole.
The frame that changes everything: divine identity as living and contextual, the single key the modern West mislaid.
Your own chart, read through this lens — the map of your soul in the language it was first written in.
A body of practice — sound, breath, stillness, ceremony — to keep the tether open long after you step ashore.
A complete transformation in how you know and carry yourself in the world. A re-membered version of yourself you never dared - till now - to dream into being.
And beyond this list — beyond anything that can be printed — each of you will receive the particular medicine you came for. The neteru know what you need in ways you do not yet know yourself, and in ways no teacher could name in advance. You do not have to understand it. You do not have to ask for it correctly. You have only to arrive ready, and open to receive. What is yours will find you on the water.
The river is already moving.

Meet the Team
Venus Salem
Venus is a Hathorian whose medicine is astrology. She specialises in exoteric and esoteric astrology and teaches Kemetic cosmology in her mystery school Alchemy Queens Academy. Egyptian and British, living between the temples of Luxor and the leylines and dragon lines of Cornwall, where she raises her two sons.
Before her Uranus opposition, she was a published author, poet, and journalist, and a high school teacher; a woman fluent in languages, yet receiving nightly astrological initiations in her dreams that she had no words for. A wisdom transmitted in light language by light beings, luminous, precise, and entirely without context yet she could not translate the codes into words.
Then the veil lifted. What had arrived in fragments across years of dreaming suddenly cohered: astrology as alchemical language, transmitted long before she knew to call it that.
Venus reads astrology as the original psychology: a living map of the soul's architecture, not a prediction engine. Her approach weaves Hellenistic, Kemetic, and Sufi metaphysical traditions into a single lens, understanding the planets as expressions of the Divine Names moving through time and that those Divine Names were - once upon a time - understood as the Neteru of ancient Egypt. Not only are they psychological energies moving through us but also divine principles of nature and we move through them every minute of everyday.
Today Venus writes long-form essays and transit commentaries, produces monthly Moon Manuals for moon priestesses, leads Kemetic pilgrimages to Egypt, and teaches alchemy through her school. Her mission is simple: to bring Kemetic/ Masriyat astrology back home, heart restored.
Nymphaea Yasmine
Nymphaea is an Egyptian Hathorian medicine woman whose medicine is her voice.
Trained as an opera singer later in life, she carried for years the quiet knowledge that her voice held something beyond performance: a transmission waiting for its vessel. It was only when she returned to the temples of Egypt and entered into relationship with her ancestors that the vessel was finally found.
She now channels ancient Kemetic mantras in the classical operatic tradition chanting in r n kmt, the tongue of the ancients, to honour both the land and those who tended it before us. Alongside her voice, she works with crystal bowls and gongs, and holds blue lotus ceremonies that open the senses and soften the threshold between worlds.
Nymphaea holds space with the quiet authority of one who has been initiated by the temples themselves. Her sound journeys are transmissions offered in devotion to the ancients and to every initiate ready to receive.
Heba El Naggar
Heba is a dancer of sacred spirals and a teacher of embodied return.
Trained in law and language, she turned instead toward the older wisdom of the body; toward movement as a grammar the soul already speaks. Through whirling practice rooted in the cosmic principle that all things turn: planets, atoms, breath, the heart. She guides others back to their original rhythm, where stillness and motion become one, and presence becomes revelation.
Her teaching rests on a precise understanding: to whirl is not to spin outward into ecstasy, but to remain centred in an unshakeable point while the universe moves around you. To lose that centre — in body, thought, or feeling — is to leave the dance. To hold it is to enter the dome of love.
She is also a maker of small cosmologies. Her jewellery pieces are not ornament but geometry: forms that carry the memory of harmony between the human heart and the greater dance of the universe, earth and beauty pressed into wearable vision.
